Enrollment

Waitlist
If you are considering enrolling your child at The Ohio State University Child Care Program, it is suggested that you complete and return a Waitlist Application as soon as possible. You will receive email and postcard confirmation that your application has been processed approximately two weeks later.
- Affiliation with Ohio State is not required for the waitlist but is required for enrollment.
- A child birthdate or due date is required.
- Waitlist families receive a verification postcard and email when their application is processed.
- Families are required to renew their Child Care Program waitlist application annually.
- The program's first commitment is to the families that are currently being served. After a family is enrolled, siblings have priority for available enrollments.
Waitlist time varies. Some families may wait months and other families may wait well over a year. Applications are ordered according to date received, however, other factors, including age of child, may affect enrollment offers. For more information, see From Waitlist to Enrollment.
Acceptance Process
When your application is selected from the waitlist, the Child Care Program will notify you of your eligibility to enroll by email. Enrolling families are required to attend a Family Orientation and bring their child to visit prior to enrollment.
Tours
Waitlist families are encouraged to tour the program prior to receiving an offer. Prior program knowledge will assist you in making a decision within the allowed timeframe when an enrollment is offered. Program tours are offered weekly. To register, call the main number, 292-4453.
