About Us
The Ohio State University Child Care Program, a department of the Office of Human Resources, provides quality childcare that allows families in the university community to participate in and fulfill their responsibilities to the university. Support for academic units is provided by offering opportunities for study and research by students and faculty. The Child Care Program is licensed by the State of Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.
Support the Child Care Center through Campus Campaign
The Child Care Center Fund (#308084) provides assistance for families who cannot afford child care and educational programming for classroom staff. You can now contribute to the Child Care Center Fund online.
Accreditation
The OSU Child Care Program's Ackerman Road facility is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). This prestigious recognition has been achieved by less than 10% of early childhood programs. NAEYC accreditation is a rigorous, voluntary process by which early childhood programs demonstrate that they meet national standards of excellence.
Multiple sites within one program are accredited separately and must be in operation for a minimum of one year before they may apply for accreditation. In February of 2006 the Buckeye Village facility of the Child Care Program will be eligible to begin the process for accreditation for that site.
Non-Discrimination Statement
In the operation of this program, no child will be discriminated against because of race, sex, color, age, origin, or handicap. Any person who believes that he or she has been discriminated against in any USDA-related activity should immediately write to the Secretary of Agriculture, Washington, D.C. 20250.
