Benefits for Sponsored Dependents (including Opposite-Sex Domestic Partners)

The sponsored dependents of university faculty and staff members may be eligible for:

Health plan benefits

Eligible faculty and staff may elect medical, dental and vision coverage for their sponsored dependent who meets all of the eligibility requirements specified in the university's Affidavit of Sponsored Dependency. The Affidavit of Sponsored Dependency and the Health Plan Election Form are required for enrollment. See the Definition of Eligible Dependents for more information on eligibility.

 

Family and Medical Leave (FML) and sick leave

Staff and faculty who are eligible for FML and sick leave may apply it for situations affecting certain sponsored dependents who are also designated as "immediate family members" under the terms of the university's Paid Leave policy - refer to Policy 6.27, Paid Leave - requires Affidavit of Sponsored Dependency. See the Definition of Eligible Dependents for more information on eligibility.
